Fostering Connectedness and SEL in any Learning Environment

Description

Providing space to connect with students is critical. Whether in our classrooms or virtually, we can foster connectedness by leveraging the right tools. By creating a space to communicate and exchange information, we promote the development of essential SEL and future ready skills.

Session Objectives:

• Explore the 5 competencies of SEL and how to provide opportunities for students to build SEL
• Share ideas for creating a flexible, student-driven learning environment, where students build their confidence, relationships and collaborate on a learning adventure.
• Learn ways to provide opportunities for students to connect globally and what the benefits are for student learning, and having access to authentic and real world learning experiences.
