Response-Ability: Understanding and Supporting Students with Social, Emotional and Behavioral Challenges
This session of practical solutions provides targeted, evidence-based behavioral supports for these students. Some schools will consider this a Level 2 intervention for students who need extra SEL support; some may consider this a Level 3 support for those students who need intensive behavioral support.
This exciting, results-oriented session is most beneficial for SEL teachers/coaches (aspiring or in-place), counselors, social workers and other school staff that have the time to work with students one-on-one or in small groups.
Participants will leave with Solution-Based tools, strategies and back-up plans which focus on Self-Regulation, specifically:
- executive function;
- emotional-regulation skills;
- cognitive-flexibility skills;
- social skills; and
- the supporting beliefs to make it happen.
Audience: All Grade PK-12 General and Special Education Teachers, Coaches and Administrators
